If you are a tutor, then you must get all the information about your student at first. It’s too important because it’s helps you so much when you know something about them.

By their behaviour, their level of performance/ acceptance, the way their thinking of etc will let you ready to accept them. At least, you’re not so surprise, hate or might be you’re wouldn’t accept them if they weren’t aligned as your expectation.

As for me, I like to know who is my student rather than knowing them from the rumours around. I will meet the student and his/ her parents to knowing them closely. Then we’ll have some discussion on what may I help their child due to their lack of studies performance. I want to be well prepared for it.
